Some IndieGala, God of War: Ascension and posts at Otaku Gaming

Happy May!  Welcome to a new month - and to kick off the month, I have some gaming info to share with the rest of the class! :)

First off, there's a little title called God of War: Ascension coming out in the somewhat near future.  As a big fan of the earlier titles (the only one I haven't played yet is the 2nd PSP title - I plan to get the collection eventually - mmm... trophies), I have to say I'm excited about this one.

And the quick press clipping:

Get ready to explore the origins of Spartan warrior Kratos in an epic new God of War® adventure. Take a first glimpse at God of War: Ascension™ in this tantalising trailer.

God of War® fans rejoice; infamous Spartan warrior Kratos is preparing to return to PlayStation®3. This exclusive trailer marks the official unveiling to the world of forthcoming title, God of War: Ascension™.

The most ambitious God of War® adventure in the series so far, God of War: Ascension™ takes us right back to where it all began. Discover the origins of Kratos as he takes his first steps on a now legendary quest for freedom.

*** Now, one quick note for me is the bemoaning of multiplayer being added to this God of War title.  My initial thought?  Give it a chance first and see what they do with it.  Sure, some games add multiplayer and it does very little for the experience, but sometimes games surprise you with the quality of the experience as well.  This reminds me already of when Bioware announced that there would be multiplayer added to Mass Effect 3.  All that hand-wringing seems pretty silly in retrospect, since it turned out to be a very enjoyable feature in my opinion and adds a lot of value to the game.

As someone who really likes the God of War series - I will admit that once I beat the storyline, I'm usually done with the games.  I held off on buying God of War III until it was really cheap new - like $25, because I knew I wouldn't get much replay out of it.  Just my thoughts on that particular topic.  Moving on...

As you all know, I tend to post some articles on Otaku Gaming, and here's what I have over the last week or so:

I had an alternate review/posting about my recent Vanguard Bandits review.

A couple of scans and new characters for Atelier Ayesha.

Atlus has announced that they will be remaking the Sega Saturn/PSone title Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers for the 3DS.

Project X Zone has more characters and scans announced.

And there's a few more Final Fantasy XIII-2 costumes and scans coming.

Moving on - Here's what IndieGala has to say about their current bundle:
