I have a review for Frozen synapse coming soon - it was a title that surprised me, but that I enjoyed quite a bit. Mode 7 Games has announced that they have a Red expansion coming, and here's a couple of those images.
I have to say, with Red being arguably my favorite color, I like this aesthetic quite a bit. For those who haven't seen it, Frozen Synapse is a very 'blue' game in color.
I enjoyed Mass Effect 3, scoring it pretty highly in my review (despite the ending concerns) - but while I haven't gone back to the main storyline (I plan to a bit later this summer after the update, with an all new run through from ME 1-3), I have been poking at the multiplayer every couple of weeks. Well, the Rebellion pack was good news for fans of the multiplayer such as myself, and there's a few screenshots to take a peek at as well.
I really enjoyed the first Dead Space game - giving it quite a decent review score on this blog in the past. I watched my son play the sequel quite a bit but I haven't had a chance to yet, though I plan to soon. In the meantime, some new Dead Space 3 screenshots have begun to circulate, lending more speculation to the idea that there will be a co-op mode, akin to Resident Evil 5. I like the co-op for playing with my son, but it kills the tension in those gaming sessions and I can't help but wonder if it will have an adverse effect on the atmosphere in Dead Space if this feature does come to pass.
I'm a big fan of Magic: The Gathering obviously. I've reviewed both Duels of the Planeswalkers and Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 in the past and have recently gotten back into playing the card game itself (my red haste-heavy deck did particularly well on Tuesday evening with my co-workers).
Wizards of the Coast hsa been talking about their upcoming Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 and emailed out some new screenshots I thought I would share as well. Here's what Wizards has to say about the upcoming game:

And what is better than pretty pictures? A new trailer made up of lots of animated pretty pictures!
Due in large part to my wife, we're a pretty Disney-friendly house and we nabbed Epic Mickey for the Wii and for the most part the family has enjoyed it (I really need to finish that one up to get a review up). Well, the recent screens of Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (for PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360) look pretty solid so far as well.
If you are a fan of big, bright and colorful graphics, hopefully you'll enjoy this slew of screenies:
Our neighbors are big Disney fans, and picked up Epic Mickey...he wasn't enjoying it because of the camera issues, and then their Wii broke (AGAIN, like 3rd or 4th time), and he lost all the save data on it, and never started it back. I don't think he finished it either.
ReplyDeleteThe camera was undoubtedly my biggest annoyance as well in my brief time with it. My wife's been a huge Disney fan forever, and actually went down to Disney World for the first time her senior year of high school as her ballet troupe got flown in for some sort of a special. We have a ridiculous number of Disney movies, lol.
ReplyDeleteComplete pisser about your neighbor's Wii. I've mercifully only had to replace mine once, which still seems silly by comparison to my fully functional NES, SNES and N64. :P
I have to admit that I gave the 1st epic mickey the 'power ignore', though am really interested in #2. I'm glad to hear they've addressed the camera and these screenshots look really good.
ReplyDeleteAs for the other games; well; I'm too cheapo to buy another console. :)
Frozen synapse is PC. ;)
