TORONTO — Aug. 17, 2021 — Guardians of Hyelore, the tug-of-war fantasy battler from developer Megaglope Studios and publisher Freedom Games, sets to defend Windows PC and topple opposing armies’ towers on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021 via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The realm of Hyelore was overrun with invaders. Then just at the moment when all seemed lost, a brave army rode to its defense. Swearing to free the land of those that would despoil it, this warband of heroes now travels far and wide, protecting the people from the forces of evil.
Prepare for battle by recruiting a fighting force of knights, archers, mages, and other champions. Cut through waves of enemies in a tug-of-war to bring down the enemy keeps. Strategically deploy units, sending shield-bearers to the front lines to buy sharpshooters time to dispatch their targets from afar while clerics heal the wounded and conjurers cast magical spells.
Manage resources, such as when to send upgradeable Guardian characters into the fray to utilize their powerful abilities to turn the tide of battle. Spend the spoils of war, allocating the plunder acquired from each new clash to conscript more sellswords and purchase items. Learn new Talents to unlock permanent perks before pushing on to the next skirmish in a 35-stage campaign and the endless Arena Mode, where unending hordes and imposing bosses await.

A demo for Guardians of Hyelore will be playable during Gamescom 2021 ahead of the game’s Sept. 29, 2021 launch on Windows PC. The title will be available for $19.99 via Steam and the Epic Games Store with support for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese language options.
